The Rapala X-Rap Xtreme Action Slashbait worked great for me. I was fishing on a cold Wisconsin day (about 30 degrees). The tip of my rod had ice forming on it! I pulled in a total of 9 Northern Pike in a period of about 2 hours. Since the water was very cold I used a very slow retrieval method with the lure. I would give it a light jerk, then let it suspend in the water for approximately 5 seconds, and then repeat the process.
